Lord of the Rings Study
When: 1st Monday or 2nd Thursday of the month (generally)

Basic info: Join us as we explore J.R.R. Tolkein's The Lord of the Rings trilogy through a Catholic lens. We will read about half of each novel for each months gathering. We'll discuss various characters roles as priest, prophet, and king through a study guide as well.
-We generally meet either the 1st Monday or 2nd Thursday each month, from 6:30-8:00pm in the youth room.
-You can swap between days each month for which fits better in your schedule. I’ll be at both meetings!
-All are welcome – don’t have to be members at OLIH or Catholic – just happy to read LotR together
-There will always be tea, water, and little tasty something.
-I will send a reminder email/text a few days before the first gathering each month and an email/text encourager halfway through each month to keep our reading spirits up!
-Join us each month even if the only thing you read was the title of the book!
For January’s meeting (either January 6th or 9th 6:30-8:00pm) there’s nothing to read – just be sure to have a copy of The Fellowship of the Ring

This book is not your regular study - this is a retreat within your daily life. This is a great way to journey through Lent this year. Each day encourages you to pray, reflect, and to find God within the midst of the noise of every day life.

Many of us lead busy lives, and at times our faith life can be neglected. Daily we encounter many challenges to living our lives as God wants. CEW allows you to step away from the busyness of daily life, and look at ourselves, our relationship with God, and our connection to community.
Cost is $50 (no one is turned away if this is a hardship). Registration will open towards the end of the calendar year.
