Faith Sharing Groups

Small Group Opportunities

OLIH is a large parish - one way to make it feel a little smaller is to connect with a small group. Check out the small groups below and if interested contact the group! 

Faith & Friendship - Meet in the parish Conference Room. Child care available for daytime sessions. Groups pray, share and study together September through May.  The following groups are available:

  • Tuesdays from 1:15-2:45 pm.

  • Thursdays from 9:30-11 am - this group follows the OLLL schedule for starting, breaks, and ending for the year.

  • Tuesdays from 7:00-8:30 pm in Room 10 (every other week).

Faith Sharing

  • Wednesdays 9:15 - 10:45am (weekly; meets virtually).

  • Wednesdays 7:00 - 8:30pm (every other week - meets off-campus).

  • Men's Group: Saturdays 8:30 - 10:00am (meets on ZOOM). This group explores the upcoming Sunday readings.

  • First Saturday of the month - Marian Consecration group meets at 10am in Mary’s Place, for those who have done the 33 Days to Morning Glory.

  • Sunday evenings men's group 7:00 - 9:00pm (meets on ZOOM).

Young Adult Women Bible Study

Young Adults - Connect with other Young Adults in the Diocese through the Young Adult Catholics of the Diocese. You can also find them on Facebook: young Catholics of the Diocese of Des Moines.

Exploring Faith Traditions

Interested in learning about other cultures and faith traditions? The Exploring Faith Traditions group meets on the 2nd Monday of every other month (January, March, May, September and November) at 3:00 pm at OLIH in Room 5. They explore ways to increase their knowledge, build connections and have fun. All are welcome to join. Contact Jane Alderman for more information.
