Youth Ministry of

Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart

Youth Ministry offers opportunities for our young church to form friendships, serve others and deepen their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Throughout the year there are monthly gatherings for grades 6-12 as well as events that are specifically for those youth in grades 6-8 and 9-12 respectfully. Check back here monthly as our youth council and staff plan more as the year progresses.

Upcoming Youth Ministry Events/Gatherings

On behalf of the students and teachers at Holy Family School in Des Moines, I would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our parishioners for their generous support during our annual school supply drive. Holy Family, serving students from preschool through 8th grade, is dedicated to offering an exceptional learning environment that honors the diversity of its student body. For over 40 years, our mission has been to nurture families and provide quality education rooted in the Gospel of Jesus and the traditions of the Catholic Church. This commitment to education and multiculturalism has attracted students from across the Des Moines metro area.

Thanks to your generosity, our parish contributed approximately 9,300 items to Holy Family School. A dedicated group of volunteers—Betsy McCleary, Anna McCleary, Sophie Bohnenkamp, Levi Bohnenkamp, Tyler Majeski, and Ruth Turczynski—sorted, counted, and delivered these supplies to the school on Friday, August 2nd. Thank you for your continued support and involvement in our community.
